The Thetford Forest Duathlon will be held on Sunday 29th November 2009. The format will be the same as the 2008 event and will be based at the Mayday events field, off the B1106 between Elveden and Brandon. As before the race will be staged over good quality forest trails and will be suitable for all levels of athlete from novice to elite. There are no steep climbs, technical descents or bomb craters to negotiate although a MTB or Cyclo cross bike is required as the trails can become muddy after wet weather.
Consisting of a 5.4km run, 14km bike, 3.6km run the event will be held entirely off-road, you can enter as an individual competitor or as a team, one person competing in both running legs and the other to cycle.
Online entry can be found on the Duathlon page.
We are pleased to announce that our new charity for 2009 is the Royal British Legion. Probably best known for the annual Poppy Appeal,
they help serving and ex-Service personnel and their families. Not just those who fought in the two World Wars, but also those involved in the many conflicts since 1945 and those still fighting today.
