Kielder and Rendlesham Forest Challenges - Entry now open

Posted on December 21st

Entries are open for the Rendlesham Forest Challenge on 15th March 2009 at the Rendlesham Forest Centre near Woodbridge, Suffolk.
Based on the same format as last year, teams of two - one running and one cycling will compete against other teams in woodland made famous for the 1980 UFO sightings and help us to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign in the process.

Our new event for 2009 is the Kielder Forest Challenges on 5th April 2009, staged in and around Kielder Water and Kielder Forest in Northumberland. With three events to choose from there is something to interest everyone : a 25Km Run/Bike, a shorter 12Km Run/Bike both for teams of two, and a 27 mile sponsored round Kielder Water cycle ride for individual competitors. The cycle ride will be held on brand new tracks around Kielder Water which will be completed in early 2009 - our event will be the first to use them. Prizes will be awarded for the Run/Bike for Male, Female and Mixed teams - however the 27mile cycle is non-competitive.
Please view the related events pages for further details.

Please bear with us whilst the results are complied, unfortunately a number of finishers had their race number folded, was obscured by clothing or mud, or only wore one number - this has made identification somewhat difficult.

About Us

Posted on May 16, 2007

A team of highly committed race organisers, runners and cyclists have developed and grown a series of events which includes the Bury 20 road race now in it’s 5th year with over 600 competitors, the Oxford Town and Gown 10k with over 4000 competitors and the Holkham Hall 10k, to raise much needed funds for the only charity researching into a group of muscle wasting diseases, the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. The aim was to put eventers first and fundraising second, an ambition not often seen with charity fundraising events.

About our charity

Muscular

They fund care advisors and high-caliber research into neuromuscular conditions.
